Yin Yoga

This class is excellent for people that have never done yoga before, have injuries, or just need some space to relax and stretch.

Yin yoga is known as “The Quiet Practice” as all of the postures are held on the floor, and the room is quiet with unobtrusive lighting (no loud music or yelling).  Lisa Marie gives clear verbal directions and slowly guides students into the posture, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and make adjustments based on your individual needs. Students have lots of time to relax into the postures as their muscles and joints slowly open, leading to a sense of calm and physical ease by the end of class. Emphasis is put on breathing and relaxation rather than what the posture looks like or how deep you can get into the posture; the small class size and gentle approach makes for a safe and welcoming environment. Appropriate for all ages and abilities: you don’t have to be flexible, just willing to try.

Please wear comfortable clothing, like leggings or sweatpants and a t-shirt or tank top.  All props are provided, including yoga mats.
